Progress — progress photos that finally line up

Progress solves the one thing that ruins every transformation series: the photos never match. A ghost overlay of your previous shot appears in the camera, so you line up each new photo with the last one — same angle, same distance, same pose. Everything stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions

What is a ghost overlay?

A translucent copy of your previous photo shown live in the camera. You move until your body lines up with the ghost, shoot, and the new photo matches the series.

Why does the angle matter so much?

Because a small change in camera height or distance can fake — or hide — weeks of real progress. Consistent framing is what makes a before/after honest.

How often should I take progress photos?

Once a week or once every two weeks is the sweet spot for fitness. Daily photos show noise; monthly photos miss the story.

Where do my photos go?

Nowhere. They stay on your device — progress photos are personal, and Progress treats them that way.

What should I keep consistent besides the pose?

Lighting, clothing and time of day. Same spot in the house, same morning light, same shorts — the ghost handles the geometry, you handle the rest.

Is this only for fitness?

No. People use it for pregnancy series, hair growth, beard experiments, posture work, healing after surgery — anything that changes slowly.

Why do progress photos work better than the scale?

The scale measures one number that swings daily; a matched photo series shows shape, posture and composition — the changes you are actually working for.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed.

When will I see visible changes?

Slower than you hope, faster than you fear: most people see clear differences comparing photos 4-8 weeks apart. The trick is that matching photos make even small changes undeniable.

Where can I get Progress?

On Google Play for Android. The guides on this site cover progress photo topics in 11 languages.
